Announcement of The College of Law and IPBA ASEAN+6 LLM

Published on 28 November 2017

The College of Law's CEO, Neville Carter, and the Programme Director at The College of Law Asia, James Jung, attended the 2017 IPBA Mid-Year Council Meeting in London on November 10 - 12.

IPBA Council members gathered together in London for internal meetings and the IPBA also hosted a Regional Conference, open to the public.

As part of the Council Meeting, The College of Law and IPBA signed an MOU to develop exciting new courses for its respective students and members. This was a historic event and marks the start of an exciting time for postgraduate legal education in the Asia-Pacific region.

The first programme that The College of Law and IPBA will jointly offer is the Master of Laws (Applied Law) in ASEAN+6 Legal Practice. This programme is designed to meet the needs of legal professionals engaged in cross-border practice between the ASEAN + 6 group. This is an increasingly significant area of practice as cross-border transactions and trade becomes the norm in the ASEAN region.
