College lecturer wins writing award

Fabian Horton, Lecturer with The College of Law Victoria, has won the Rogers Legal Writing Award for the best Law Institute of Victoria article in 2016.

The prize, established to commemorate the contributions of Mr A. Warrington (Peter) Rogers to the legal profession is awarded each year to the best contribution to the LIJ for the previous year. The award is judged by a panel comprising the chair of the Editorial Committee, the editor of the LIJ and Editorial Committee members.

The winning article was titled Law, technology and new ethics. The article examined how technology extended existing and created new ethics issues that lawyers were well placed to deal with. It encouraged lawyers to take a fresh look at ethics through a technological lens. You can read the article here.
