Emma Cockburn | Lawyer, Allens

Emma is about to commence an international secondment at Linklaters in Hong Kong in the Capital Markets team. She started as a lawyer at Allens in the Brisbane office in 2023, where she completed a 12-month rotation in the Corporate team. The team specialises in energy and resources. Prior to joining Allens, Emma was an associate to a judge in the District Court of Queensland. She was based in Beenleigh and circuited across regional Queensland.
Emma completed a bachelor of laws and economics at the Queensland University of Technology. During her studies, she competed in business consulting and debating competitions across Asia-Pacific and Europe. Emma undertook a university exchange semester in Hong Kong. She also had the opportunity to undertake work experience at large commercial law firms in areas such as insurance and corporate risk and projects.
el, a seasoned lawyer with 11 years of experience, has thrived in diverse industries such as aviation, financial services, and currently, cloud computing. As an in-house advocate, she shares career insights with a combined audience of over 17,000 on Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

Trieu Leculier | Principal Lawyer, Sydney Solicitors

As the Principal Lawyer at Sydney Solicitors, Trieu has experience in a number of industries. Trieu completed a combined Science and Arts degree at UNSW that led her to work for a number of Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices companies over a 15 year period. Cosmetic medicine was also a great passion for Trieu and toward the end of her career in the medical industry, Trieu became business partners with a Doctor opening a successful Cosmetic Skin Practice in the CBD looking after clients skin and beauty needs.
After 15 years in the Pharmaceutical industry, Trieu commenced her studies in Law, graduating from the University of Technology, Sydney. Following her studies Trieu has worked for a number of different law firms that specialised in Building and Construction Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Commercial Law, Wills Estates, and Probate and Contracts as well as purchases of property within SMSF’s. Time at these practices equipped Trieu in a wide range of experiences and knowledge that she now brings to her own practice. Trieu also speaks three languages fluently: English, Vietnamese, and French.
