LEARNING PORTAL AND WEBEX CONFERENCING

Please check your system to make sure it meets the minimum requirements as of June 2026.

The Learning Portal is accessed via the Canvas learning management system.

Microsoft Teams via web browser is used for conducting online oral assessments.

Please check the minimum requirements listed below to ensure you can successfully access the Learning Portal as well as join and participate in a Microsoft Teams web conference.


Step 1 - Internet Speed

A stable internet connection is required along with the following minimum requirements:

  • Download speed: 10 Mbps or higher
  • Upload speed: 3 Mbps or higher

Please use the website www.speedtest.net to evaluate your internet speed and ensure you have an adequate connection.

 

Step 2 - Operating System

Devices running Windows, Apple, Android or ChromeOS released in 2021 or later.

Other devices may still work; however, they may not be fully supported by the Learning Portal and other services used throughout the course.

 

Step 3 – Web Browser & Software

Web browsers:

We recommend using the latest or previous major version of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari.

Software:

We recommend Microsoft Word or compatible software, such as OpenOffice, Pages or Google Docs.

 

Step 4 - Speaker and Microphone

The following options are supported:

  1. Built-in Speaker and Microphone on your device
  2. Any PC or Apple compatible external speakers and microphone
  3. Any wired or wireless earphones with built-in microphone e.g. Apple AirPods

 

Step 5 – Webcam

If your device does not have a built-in camera, any PC or Mac-compatible external webcams are suitable.
