Natalie Wieland
Founder and CTO, Vidversity and Educator
Natalie is an educator who specialises in helping organisations create their own online training using interactive video.
After practising law for several years, she completed a postgraduate degree in IT and, in 1999, founded Bliss Consulting - delivering training and consulting services to law firms and legal professionals. This work led to the creation of cpdinteractive.com.au, a platform providing online professional development for lawyers across ethics, legal skills, and practice management.
With over 20 years’ experience in legal education, Natalie recognised her true passion lies in empowering others to teach. This led to the development of VidVersity, created to give educators a simple yet powerful way to build online learning without the need for a technical team. She now runs VidVersity with co-founder Liz Kollias.
Since 1999, Natalie has taught legal research skills within the legal industry for both private and government organisations. In 2006, she became a Legal Academic Skills Adviser at Melbourne Law School, where she designed and delivered skills-based programs for undergraduate and Master’s students. She continues to consult twice a year, teaching international Master’s students about the Australian legal system and helping them integrate into the program.
More recently, Natalie has embraced a part-time teaching role in the Diploma of Justice at Holmesglen TAFE — a role she deeply enjoys.
