ABOUT YOUR GRADUATION
When will I graduate?
Our Autumn Graduation will take place in May 2026.
Our Spring Graduation will take place in November 2026.
Location and times to be advised.
Should you be unable to attend, your award will be conferred in absentia and your completion documents express posted within two weeks of conferral. A formal invite will be forwarded to eligible graduands closer to the ceremony date.
Getting to the venue
Entry is via the Gatehouse on Macquarie Street, next door to the State Library.
Parking
The closest parking stations are:
Train travel
The nearest train stations are Martin Place and St James.
Bus travel
Buses run along Macquarie, Elizabeth and Castlereagh Streets. Routes 200, 309, 324, 325, 326, 327, 333, 339, 343, 373, 374, 376, 377, 380, 389, 391, 392, 394, 396, 397 and 399 service the area.
Can I bring a guest?
Each graduate may reserve two guest tickets. Further information will be provided in the formal invite.
What documents do I receive?
You will receive a testamur and an academic transcript.
When will I receive my documentation if I cannot attend?
Your documentation will be forwarded within two weeks of conferral to the mailing address supplied on your application. Contact us if you need to update your address on or before conferral. A $60 fee applies for any re-print requests.
Can I collect my documentation?
You may collect your documents from one of our offices. Please contact the Practitioner Education team at postgrad@collaw.edu.au.
Can I track my documents?
All documents are tracked. If yours have not been received within two weeks, please contact us for the tracking number.

Can I use my post-nominals before conferral?
No. Post-nominals can only be used after your award is formally conferred by the Chief Academic Officer.
Can I get a certificate of completion ahead of conferral?
We can provide a current transcript upon request at postgrad@collaw.edu.au.
What's the best way to promote my new qualification?
You will receive instructions on how to download your custom email signatures and social badges for LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram. If the email is not received by COB on the day of conferral, please check your spam folder or contact us.
When will the next graduation be held?
Graduation ceremonies are generally held twice a year, in May and November.
Where will my achievements be shared?
Your name and award may be listed on the College website and social media channels. If you do not wish to be listed, please notify our Customer Engagement team at postgrad@collaw.edu.au prior to conferral.
Can I progress to a higher award or enrol in a second master’s?
Yes. Please contact us at postgrad@collaw.edu.au or 02 9965 7111 to discuss your options.
