The College Of Law Appoints New Executive Director In Victoria

The College of Law has appointed Fiona Turner as its Executive Director of the College of Law in Victoria effective 28 January 2020. 

Fiona is currently Head of Operations and Customer Development at Swinburne Professional, the arm of Swinburne University that provides professional education to a large and varied customer base. Fiona is from the UK and has been resident in Australia since 2014. Before Swinburne she worked for three years with the Australian Institute of Management. She has an LLB (with Honours) from Leeds University and began her career in the Women’s Royal Naval Service. Fiona brings to the College a strong track record in managing and growing a professional education business, very strong customer-focus and the personal skills to successfully lead a high-performing team.

Mr Neville Carter, Chairman and Group CEO of the College of Law welcomed the appointment, highlighting the unique mix of experience and skills Fiona will bring to the role. 

“Fiona joins the College in Victoria at a time of continuing growth in enrolments as well as ambitious plans for the expansion of our offerings to legal services professionals in the state. Her background in professional education as well as management training will allow us to accelerate these plans while maintaining our leadership role in practical legal training for admission to practice in Victoria.”
