“ I know for sure that once I finished with The College of Law I was ready to be a lawyer.”
Solicitor, Child Protection Litigration Office Victoria
My name is Iman Osman. I'm a solicitor at Child Protection Litigation Office and I'm currently specialising in children's law.
I came from a very large Lebanese family and a family of migrants. I was fortunate enough to be raised in a country where I have opportunities to do whatever I want. From a young age I absolutely loved words - I loved what words could do, so what better than choose to be a lawyer and express myself through my words.
I work in a litigation practice and after PLT I was ready for the Civil Procedure side of my work. We had a one week workshop at the start of the course and the advocacy sessions were great. We had experienced barristers teach us and give us mock trials which was excellent. The submissions that I was making in the advocacy training of PLT, I still make in court.
The lecturers at The College of Law were great. They were so supportive, would always provide me with feedback, would always email me back when I would email them and were very responsive. I know for sure that once I finished with The College of Law I was ready to be a lawyer.
