Law for Professionals
About Law for Professionals
The College of Law is introducing a suite of programs for accounting professionals based on needs identified in discussions with the profession.
Accountants are increasingly expected and required to understand legal principles in their changing role and in client-facing interactions.
These new courses are designed to assist accounting professionals to:
- Understand the legal implications of the advice being given to clients
- Know when to engage a lawyer and what advice to seek on behalf of a client
- Offer a more complete solution to the client.
Initial Courses
Our two initial courses are available either as face-to-face or online courses.
Complex issues in business succession planning – workshop
Complex issues involving superannuation death benefits – workshop
Complex issues in business succession planning – online
Complex issues involving superannuation death benefits – online
My overall impression was that the course was very practical and relevant. The presenter was very knowledgeable and was able to answer any question in detail and with support from recent case law.
