Adjunct Lecturer, The College of Law

Ian is an adjunct lecturer in the Master of Applied Law (Family Law) and recently returned to practice at the Bar. Ian has 40 years’ experience practising as a barrister, specialising in family law and was a Special Counsel at Swaab Attorneys for seven years. Ian has produced numerous authoritative family law publications. He has featured prominently in LexisNexis publications, being the former author of volume 4 of Australian Family Law and Australian Family Court Legislation. He is the co-author of the latest edition of the textbook Practising Family Law with Tom Altobelli. Ian is also a qualified family law mediator and arbitrator.
