Coursework Component
The Coursework component of the College's Queensland Online Course is known as the Queensland Professional Program Online (QPPO). The purpose of the QPPO is to provide students with a self paced, flexible online learning program to use in developing legal practice knowledge and skills.
Most of the course is available electronically. Teaching and learning by this mode relies heavily on interactive multimedia technologies including: online and CD-ROM instruction and activities, email, online research assistance and discussion groups. The Coursework Component curriculum complies with the National Competency Standards for pre-admission training and comprises of compulsory and elective subject areas.

Attendance on campus
Additional to the online coursework are face to face onsite skills sessions (for example advocacy, interviewing, negotiation and early dispute resolution) which are conducted using traditional small group interactive instruction. This is undertaken during the mid-course 2 week onsite period (Mon-Fri 9am-4pm) and for assessment at the end of the coursework component.
Current onsites are conducted in your choice of Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Canberra and Brisbane, however, they are also held in London. See the Course dates for further details on locations.
The course is available in full-time and part-time modes:
- Full-Time mode
(workload of 35 hours per week)
The Coursework Component is undertaken through the online mode over a period of approximately 15 weeks.
- Part-Time mode
(workload of 17 hours per week)
The Cousework Component can be undertaken through the online mode over approximately 30 weeks.
