What the subject is about

Lawyers are essentially problem solvers.  A lawyer must be able to investigate and analyse facts and law, provide legal advice and solve clients' problems.

At the same time, a lawyer must be able to manage workload and work practices in a way that ensures that clients' matters are dealt with in a timely and cost effective manner.

This subject looks at the skills of problem solving and work management which are necessary to be an effective lawyer and to manage risk.  You will have an opportunity to practise these skills in other subjects of the Professional Program.
