IT Conditions of Use
The use of the username and password allocated to you is an acceptance of the following conditions:
- The user acknowledges that the password allows them access to the College Server and that it is their responsibility to ensure that they have installed on their computer up-to-date Anti-Virus software, and that this is updated with each vendor update. The user acknowledges that they may be held liable for any virus that is transmitted onto the College Server through their computer.
- The user acknowledges that the allocated password will only be valid for the duration of the Coursework component of the Professional Program.
- The user acknowledges that they will be responsible for payment of any loss, damage, costs and charges incurred by the misuse of the allocated password.
Computer Requirements
To undertake the Online Course you will need your own Internet Service Provider (ISP). If you have difficulties in finding an ISP, please contact the IT Help Desk.
Students are provided with a College email account and access to a range of online legal publishing services. Access is for the duration of the course.
The IT support help desk operates during normal business hours to provide assistance to students who encounter technical difficulties.
You will need basic skills in the use of standard software applications to undertake the Online Distance Course. You may wish to further develop your skills in standard software applications prior to commencing the course.
To undertake a Distance Online Course you will need to ensure your hardware and software meet the minimum specifications necessary for accessing the PPO website and other applications required for study.
The minimum specifications are:

- Apple MAC running OS X or later
- Microsoft Windows XP or later
- Limited Linux Distributions
Web Browsers:
- Internet Explorer 7 or later
- Firefox 3 or later
- Safari 3 or later
Supporting Applications:
- Adobe Acrobat Reader 8 or later
- Up to date anti-virus application
- Microsoft Word 2003 or later
- OpenOffice 2 or later
- Multimedia enabled with broadband internet access
Please note: Macintosh computers may be used to complete the online course butare not upported by the College's IT Support Dept.
