Assessment of Overseas Qualifications
The NSW Legal Profession Admission Board's (LPAB) can provide an Assessment of Qualification, which examines the extent to which overseas qualifications are suitable for admission as a legal practitioner in Australia.
A person who applies for assessment specifically for immigration purposes (skills assessment) will also be assessed in accordance with the requirements for admission as a legal practitioner.
The requirements for admission are:

completion of a law degree from one of the accredited law schools listed in the Second Schedule, or
-
completion of the Legal Profession Admission Board's Diploma-in-Law course (currently available only to permanent residents and Australian citizens)
A further prerequisite for admission in NSW is the completion of a Practical Legal Training Course.

College Exemptee Courses
The College of Law now offers each subject required for the practical legal training through the Exemptee Program. These online courses are available for applicants admitted as lawyers in jurisdictions other than Australia who are granted an exemption by either the NSW Legal Profession Board or the Victorian Council of Legal Education.
