The College of Law recognises graduates, Fellows and prize winners at Autumn 2016 Academic Awards Ceremony

The College of Law was proud to formally recognise graduates of its Applied Law Programs at the Autumn 2016 Academic Awards Ceremony on 23 May 2016. For the first time the ceremony was held at the Strangers Dining Room in Parliament House, Sydney.

At the ceremony, over 70 graduates of the Applied Law Programs were conferred their degrees and diplomas, most of whom received the LLM (Applied Law).

Last week the College of Law hosted its Spring 2014 Academic Awards Ceremony, conferring degrees and diplomas upon 65 graduates of the Applied Law programs. While everyone was a star that night, there were two graduating students who stood out: Amy Evans, who took home the Best Graduating Student Prize in the Master of Laws (Applied Law) majoring in In-house Practice; and Michael Eyers, bagging the de Groots Prize for the Best Graduating Student in the Master of Laws (Applied Law) majoring in Wills and Estates.

Five minutes with… Wyn Davies, best graduating student award winner in Master of Applied Law (Commercial Litigation)

On any given day Wyn Davies could be learning the history of the gummy bear or gathering evidence about Middle Eastern television broadcasting arrangements. The variety of work, exchange of knowledge and need for strategic thinking attracted him to the practice of commercial litigation, culminating in his recent success as best graduating student in the Master of Applied Law (Commercial Litigation) program at the College of Law.
