2013 Student Essay Competition

The College of Law’s Alumni Association Student Essay Competition showcases the ingenuity, imagination and talent of College students. The 2013 competition was open to all current students in both Practical Legal Training Program and the Applied Law Program.

Entrants to the competition were asked to write 2000 words on ‘How would you improve the teaching of law and legal practice in Australia or New Zealand?’

2013 Competition Winner

The 2013 competition winner was Ashleigh Standen, a PLT student at Norton Rose Fulbright who’s entry was titled Let’s not kill all the lawyers: Law, Literature and why it matters.’
