Practical Legal Training Program - Queensland
In Queensland, the Legal Profession Admission Board (LPAB) offers two paths to be admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland:
- a Practical Legal Training Program, or
- a 12 month supervised Traineeship (which replaced the articled clerkship scheme)
We recommend, if you have completed your academic law degree, and want to work in Queensland as a lawyer, that the Queensland PLT Program is the most suitable way to meet the LPAB’s practical legal training requirements.
The Queensland PLT Program leads to direct admission in the following Supreme Courts:
- Queensland
- Australian Capital Territory
- New South Wales
- Northern Territory, and
- Victoria
