The Principles of Estate Planning (with Podcast)

The purpose of this seminar is to discuss a range of estate planning related issues to assist the professional in better guiding clients through the estate planning process. It is not intended to be exhaustive of the issues that can, and should, be taken into account.

Andrew Frankland B.Comm., LL.B., University of NSW, LL.M., University of Sydney, is a partner with Bartier Perry, Solicitors. He specialises in taxation law, estate planning, and business succession planning.

Andrew is a former taxation adviser at Ernst & Young, Sydney and Greenwoods and Freehills Pty Limited, Sydney.

He previously lectured in estate planning for the University of Western Sydney, Master of Commerce course with guest lecturing in continuing legal education for various organisations. He also conducts in-house education sessions for various institutions. He presents seminar papers on companies, partnerships, trusts, estate planning, stamp duty, and capital gains tax.

He is a member of the editorial panel of the Investment and Taxation Bulletin and the Retirement and Estate Planning Bulletin.

Andrew is a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia and previously served as a Member of the NSW Technical Committee and NSW Education Committee of the Taxation Institute of Australia.
