Program Design

The  Graduate Diploma of In-house Legal Practice is delivered online, giving you the freedom and flexibility of study anywhere, any time via a computer with internet access. This style of teaching and learning is tailor made for the adult professional with the emphasis on self-directed learning. At all times you will have email access to a mentoring lecturer.

The Program has been developed to:

  • engage students through interactive exercises, based on adult learning principles and supporting a broad range of blended learning strategies
  • deliver a course which students can gain access to and work easily on anywhere and at any time
  • deliver interactive materials both online and face-to-face which are
    relevant to practice
  • provide a range of online student communication, collaboration and assessment opportunities, including self-assessment

The Program curriculum emphasises the practical and commercial realities of
in-house practice, either within a corporate or government environment.

Assignments, activities, exercises and assessment tasks will have a practical and work-related, rather than a purely academic, emphasis.

“So far I have found the course very practical and interesting and I already feel better equipped to deal with many of the issues that would confront in-house counsel. The technical help has been excellent, as is access to lecturers.”
