FLP16 Major Project
What is this subject about?
This subject provides the opportunity to undertake research in an area of family law and to present the findings a written article of publishable quality.
The project requires the conduct of research and analysis of a particular area of substantive or procedural family law. Participants will work under the supervision of a mentor. In conjunction with the supervising mentor, the problem or issue to be researched will be finalised together with the research methodology and the required outcomes.
What will I learn while studying this subject?
At the end of this subject you will be able to:
- research an area of family law practice
- develop a conceptual framework for consideration of key issues in that area
- write an appropriate piece of work which describes, contextualises and analyses those issues and proposes ways forward in regard to them
- write logically, accurately, cogently and persuasively
How will I be assessed?
This subject has the following assessments:
- research proposal (20%)
- major project paper (80%)
