How long does it take to complete the Masters?
To receive a Masters of Applied Law (Family Law) you need to complete seven subjects. For the Graduate Diploma you need to complete four subjects and two subjects for the Graduate Certificate.
How long it takes you to finish depends on how many subjects you complete each semester. You can choose to enrol either in one or two subjects per semester. It is advisable that students in full-time practice think carefully about enrolling in more than two subjects. If you complete two subjects per semester you can finish the Masters within two years.
However, if you do have more time available to study you can also complete your degree at a faster pace if you have greater time available to devote to study.
How many hours per week do I need to set aside for study?
For each subject you should allow a minimum of six hours study per week for the online materials and participation in online learning activities. In addition, students will be expected to devote further time to assessment tasks and exam preparation.
