Practical Legal Training Program - UWS

The University of Western Sydney Cross Institutional Course is designed for UWS students completing their UWS Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice with UWS. The program provides vocational legal education centred on a training partnership between the College, students and the University of Western Sydney.

The Coursework provides structured online learning under the supervision of College lecturers. It is undertaken over approximately 18 weeks.

The section dealing with the Work Experience and Continuing Professional Education components of the full Practical Legal Training Program will not be applicable to students in this program, as you will remain a student at UWS. However, all other sections (e.g. assessment rules) of the Course Manual will apply. For further details, please see the Program Components section below.

When you have completed the University of Western Sydney Cross Institutional Course, the College will provide you with a certificate of completion. Once this certificate has been issued, you must advise UWS by filling in an Academic Credit Form. UWS will grant academic credit to satisfy its requirements for F7032 Transactional Legal Practice and F7033 Litigious Legal Practice in the UWS GDLP.

Requirements on Completion

Once the cross institutional study has been completed, students must advise UWS by filling in an academic credit application form.
