New Work Experience Rules
From 1 October 2009 new Work Experience Rules apply for the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (PLT).
The new Rules allow more flexibility and increase the opportunities for students to accrue the requisite 75 days.
Highlights of the new Rules include:
the minimum period that can be counted in NSW, VIC or QLD is now 1 day
(instead of 2 days in 2 week blocks)
in NSW, VIC or QLD the minimum period can be made up of 2 or more half days
weekend work and work outside standard working hours is now acceptable
up to 11 weeks of undergraduate experience can be counted (instead of 8 weeks)
