Meet Ian Serisier (Special Counsel), at Swaabs Attorneys. Ian is the content writer for the Family Law Practice Program for the topic Advanced Issues in Family Law: People . Ian was admitted to the NSW Bar in 1973 and since, has practiced almost exclusively in family law and de facto relationship disputes. He is a regular presenter (on family law) at the State Legal Conference; The College of Law and for LexisNexis. Ian is a qualified family law mediator and arbitrator. He is a member of the College of Law Advisory Panel . He is author of the Family Law Section of the Australian Encyclopaedia of Form and Precedents and co-author (with Marilyn Hauptmann) of Volume 4 Australian Family Law (LexisNexis).

Meet Steve White, the Principal and founder of White SW Computer Law . Steve is the content writer for the Commercial Litigation Practice Program for the topic Intellectual Property.
Steve completed dual degrees in law and computer science at Melbourne University in 1991 and was admitted to practise law in 1992. In 1994, Steve established the boutique law firm White SW Computer Law with offices in Melbourne and Sydney.
Prior to practising law, Steve worked in the IT industry for a number of years including time at IBM Australia as a software developer and as an instructor in Australia and South East Asia for IBM's Customer education services in local area network products and services, operating systems, database design and communications systems.
Steve is an Accredited Commercial Litigation Specialist, a qualified mediator and arbitrator, a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, a member of the Law Society of New South Wales, a fellow of the Australian Computer Society, an accredited mediator and graded arbitrator of the Institute of Arbitrators & Mediators Australia, a member of the Victorian Society for Computers and the Law and a professional grade member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia. Steve has also completed a certificate in commercial mediation from the Accor Group. Steve is also on the ACS Communication Technology Board.
Steve is a member of the Institute of Arbitrators & Mediators Australia's .au domain name dispute resolution panel.

Meet Justin Dowd, a partner at Watts McCray. Justin is the content writer for the Family Law Practice Program for the topic Practice and Procedure: the Conduct of Family Law Matters.
Justin was educated in Sydney, completing a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Sydney in 1975. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1976 and worked in a country practice from 1976 to 1987, gaining wide litigation experience.
He has specialised in Family Law, either as Registrar or as a private practitioner since 1987, and has also completed Management and Computer courses at Macquarie University, and holds a Graduate Diploma in Law from Wollongong University.
Justin is also an Accredited Arbitrator in Family Law. He is a former member of the Board of The Fairfield Co-operative Mediation Service and current Board member of several Housing Societies established under the Co-operative Housing Societies Act. Justin is also a member of the APLE's Advisory Committee for the Family Law Practice Program.
